It is just gorgeous here in the Arkansas Ozarks right now. The mountains are a patchwork quilt of reds, golds, oranges, greens, and browns. I just love autumn. (happy sigh)

Jon, you MUST read the article on Iraq (Rules of Engagement by William Langewiesche) in the latest issue of VANITY FAIR (November with George Clooney on the cover). It is excellent. Beautifully written and a much more insightful view of the war than anything we’ve been given by the MSM.

The Rules of Engagement article is a great read. Here is the online version link http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2006/11/haditha200611

The trees seem to be as reluctant as me to have fall end and pass into a harsh, cold winter.

Great raw umber tones in that pic!

This picture shows the trouble with creating photo blogs — orientation. My own blog looks great when the photos I post are horizontal…but when they’re vertical or even square-shaped, the resulting white space on its side drives me nuts. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to address that.
