Almost Winter

November 19th, 2006

Heather took almost the same photo with her cell phone. Compare and contrast here.

I used only Adobe Lightroom on this one. It runs better on my iBook than Aperture does. Plus, I like the Camera Raw like sliders Lightroom has over Aperture’s. o

The glossiness of the window’s reflection almost adds another dimension to the mountains - great effect.

Yes, the reflections make it so very surreal. Great light.

I’ve never heard of Adobe Lightroom but really like the effect. I’m definitely going to have to check this out.

I love the way your photos come out. Just wanted to say — though it’s only kind of relevant to this photo in particular, that I’ve been using your tutorial from a couple weeks ago to edit/adjust my photos, and they look TONS better.

    Thanks for the help!

Your photos are beautiful. They are making me quite home sick. I am living in Matsumoto City, Japan now. I grew up in Salt Lake and went to college in Colorado Springs so the Denver airport, which I believe is the view pictured above, was a common thing for me on Thanksgiving.

Lizawadocodeska, it’s the SLC airport. Denver mountains are not that close to the Denver airport.

    I like the pic!

Lizawadocodeska - definately not the Denver airport - DIA is so freakin’s far east of Denver that all you see is flat, flat, flat. no mountains.
